Calibration Procedure for Online pH Meter
Prepare the pH Electrode
- Switch ON the pH meter and allow the reading to stabilise.
- Remove the electrode from its storage solution.
- Rinse the electrode gently with distilled or clean water.
- Do not rub or scratch the sensitive glass bulb.
Calibrate at 7.00 pH
- Dip the electrode into fresh 7.00 pH buffer solution.
- Wait until the displayed value becomes stable.
- Adjust the 7 pH calibration control slowly.
- Set the display to exactly 7.00 pH.
Calibrate at 4.00 pH
- Remove the electrode and rinse it with clean water.
- Dip the electrode into fresh 4.00 pH buffer solution.
- Wait until the displayed value becomes stable.
- Adjust the 4 pH or slope control slowly.
- Set the display to exactly 4.00 pH.
Verify the Calibration
- Rinse the electrode after calibration.
- Recheck the reading in the 7.00 pH buffer solution.
