Liquid Flow Meters is a microcontroller-based digital flow meter designed for accurate measurement of water and other clean liquids. It accepts pulse input from turbine / multi-jet flow sensors and displays both instant flow rate in Lt/Hr (or LPM) and totalized volume in litres (Ltr) on a bright 16×2 LCD.
The unit comes in a standard 96×96 mm panel-mount enclosure, runs on 220 VAC supply, and includes two relay outputs for pump/valve control or high/low flow alarms. Simple front keys (SET, UP, DN, ENT) make field configuration and calibration fast and secure.

1. What is the MCS-FLM-FT650 Digital Flow Meter used for?
The MCS-FLM-FT650 is used to measure and display water or liquid flow rate and total volume. It accepts pulse signals from a compatible flow sensor and shows instant flow in Lt/Hr and total volume in litres (Ltr) on the LCD. It also provides relay outputs for pump/valve control and alarms.
2. Which type of sensors can be connected to this flow meter?
The instrument works with pulse-output sensors such as turbine flow sensors, multi-jet water meters, reed-switch meters, or Hall-effect sensors that give pulses proportional to flow. You only need to program the correct pulses per litre (K-factor) in the meter.
3. Can it be used as both a water flow meter and a liquid flow meter?

6. Does the flow meter store the total reading during power failure?
Yes. The total volume (TL) is stored in non-volatile memory (EEPROM). When power returns, the meter recovers the last saved total, so you do not lose your cumulative litres.
7. How do I set pulses per litre (K-factor)?
Using the front keys (SET, UP, DN, ENT) you can enter the K-factor digits from the calibration menu. This value is proportional to pulses per litre of your flow sensor. After setting, the meter automatically converts pulses into accurate litres and Lt/Hr.
8. Can one meter work with different pipe sizes?
Yes. The electronics are the same; you only change the K-factor according to the water meter or sensor used (DN50, DN40, DN32, DN25, G3/4″, 1/2″, G1/4″, etc.). This makes the same instrument flexible for many pipe sizes and applications.
9. What are the relay outputs used for?
The MCS-FLM-FT650 has two relay outputs. They can be configured for:
Batch control / automatic tank filling (cut off at a set total volume)
High or low flow alarm
Pump or valve interlocking
Relay status is visible on the front panel through indicator LEDs.
10. Is there password protection for settings?
Yes. Important parameters such as K-factor, relay setpoints and reset functions are password protected. This prevents unauthorized or accidental changes by operators.
11. How do I reset the total litres to zero?
After entering the password and going to the reset menu, press ENT on the “Reset Zero” option. The totalizer TL will clear to zero and start counting from the next pulses. (Batch total reset is also possible depending on configuration.)
